Well if your talking 38 special and 357 mag, yes very easy to obtain almost anywhere, and as cheap as any to quite expensive for some of the more extreme 357 mag stuff.

But if you're wanting to expand and see what real extreme is, here you go, you may need a few more license's for a couple of these,,,, the 460 S&W Big Boy's Toy's But to Jeannine there necessary tool's!!!

Or Maybe a little 358 Winchester

But for CCW work, I won't trust my life to anything but my custom STN. STL. Valor V-Bob in DS hard Hat finish,,,,,

I gotta agree xcaliber, and this is all very confusing, when Anthony first posted I thought this was all about a carry gun???? It's the only thing I need a license for, I'd go nut's if I had to apply or wait on a license for every handgun I needed,,,,,

I'd be frustrated right now, as I just figured out out I need the new 454 5 shot Super Blackhawk, and the to keep it in good company I'm going to need the big brother to it,,,, the new 480,,,,,, there already ordered,,,,, they hurt my wrist some days now, but it's a hurt that feel good,,,,,,,

My advice to you Anthony is start getting them applications sent in,,,, when you get done with this thread, your gonna need several,,,,,,

Very nice Dan Wesson VBob Wildcatter! I own a Valor and sometimes wish I went with the bobbed version but I doubt I'd carry it more regardless.
I always appreciate it when people share their interesting collections and you certainly have some nice pieces!

You lost me a bit here and I'm curious, what is custom STN. STL. ?

This is a Stainless Steel V-Bob, it was sent to Dave Severns for a tactical dehorn, as he does a very tasteful job without removing unnecessary material, the rear of the slide was checkered to eliminate any glare, the barrel bushing was fitted for extra accuracy and the combat safety and slide release was shaved down for a more snag free release of the holster, and a more compact carry. Then the black finish is his hard hat treatment, the most durable glare free finish available, he guarantees it not to scratch if slid across concrete,,, in the 4 years I have carried it almost daily, I can say his work is second to none. I have over 3000 rounds thru it, factory reloads, lead wadcutters and round nose, to jacketed HP FMJ Hardball you name it,,,, never one fail to feed, it is more reliable than any revolver I have ever owned,,, pricey,,,, but what's your life worth??? This is thinner and flat so it carries better and prints less than my SP-101 did prior to carrying this, and 45 acp is my favorite CCW round.

here is a picture before it went to Severns,,,

Oh ya and at 250 lbs. and 6'2" I also ditched the slim grips and put a full size VZ on it and did the V-Bob cut myself, gives much better control and this thing shoots good enough to talke a few groundhogs out to a little over 50 yards,,

WOW! I thought my Valor was expensive and a decked out 1911!
Do you have any close up pics of the custom work? Especially the checkered rear of the slide and dehorn job on the controls.

....A decision was made and a deposit placed on the Barretta PX4 Storm in the 9mm caliber... see initial post for what I liked about it!

$22...$2 to the local PD and $20 in an online application to the NJ State police to do a background check on you, an application and about 5 different forms to be filled out.

....It "only" took less than 3 weeks because I already had my NJ Purchasers ID Card....Otherwise the whole process can take upwards of 3 months.
