Re: Best Matrix/Micro Series Crossbow Poll
right now the matrix 330 gets my vote .
Re: Best Matrix/Micro Series Crossbow Poll
Well, I would say the best is the 355 Matrix, but my favorite is the matrix 330. The reason is the lost speed is acceptable for my hunting area, and the bow is just so easy to cock. It is as accurate as any Excalibur I have ever shot. The 355 has proven to be very reliable, and offers a bit better power than the old beast 225# model, so what is not to like?

Of all the models listed my 1st Gen. Micro 335 is the best fer me.
Re: Best Matrix/Micro Series Crossbow Poll
I am favoring my micro 335 also. Light wt and lot quieter than my 380 but I love speed on 380.
380 matrix, micro nightmare335,Exocet 175, my aluminum arrows, muzzy broadheads and a starvation aim, Vixenmaster strings
Re: Best Matrix/Micro Series Crossbow Poll
The 405 is the best if...you got one with good limbs.

Re: Best Matrix/Micro Series Crossbow Poll
I'm still stick'n with my 380 as my favorite, but the 350 I put together from scratch is gaining on the 380, I definitely shoot it more, but I still favor the 380 as the best hunting bow I have owned to date, and the one I have in the field most durring hunting season! To me the 380 has the perfect blend of everything for a hunting bow, but I can sure see why some like the 350/355 also. By the way,,, the Micro is long gone! I would choose the 330 Matrix over any of the Micro's,, but remember, I'm a big guy.

Re: Best Matrix/Micro Series Crossbow Poll
I went 355 matrix last year and I'm very impressed. I've shot an Exocet, the Cabelas 370whatever, vixen and equinox, and a 380.
Last weekend we were playing with my 355 and my friends 380. And I'll say the 380 did hit the target a bit harder, but was it enough to justify the difference in the pull? Doubt it. Hunting when you draw once a day, no problem. But target play, my friend was getting a little tired of his 380 after hour two.
Now one other thing to note, he turned 60 last year and it very rapidly starting to dislike the pull on his 380. Kinda like power steering on and ATV, there comes a point when you just say, F-it. This doesn't need to be so hard. So you never know, maybe there will be a trade in the near future... but I think I'd stay with my 355.

My choice is the 335. I have a Vortex which I shot for years and when I got the 335 it's amazing. 335 all day for me.

Re: Best Matrix/Micro Series Crossbow Poll
My vote is the 1 vote so far for the BD400. My M380 & M405 are accessorized to the hilt: everything available -TT, Air Brakes, Dr S everything, Optimizer/Duralyt, etc. So, my comparison of my previously favorite Excal - M405 - leaves it almost equal to the new kid on the block, the BD400. Overall, the BD is better balanced, more esthetic, better designed as far as stress on the limbs, more comfortable to hold.....
As with some other Matrix xbows, the trigger leaves a little to be desired. Other than that, I think it is Excal's best effort yet.

Re: Best Matrix/Micro Series Crossbow Poll
I too only have my micro335 and it is the best crossbow I ever owned . And yes , I have had some issues with the limbs . But I also had the best bow season last year I ever had with it .
Excalibur took care of the bow for me with the first limb issue , when the second set splintered I was , concerned greatly ! LOL . I got in touch with Bill , told him I was gonna file off the splinter and shoot it until whatever happened .
I also explained that I felt like I deserved another set of limbs to have on standby and I didn't feel I should have to pay for them eather .
I still have that extra set of limbs in the gun safe and have had no more splinters on the second set of limbs . Few more seasons down the trail and If there is now more issues with present limbs , I will send them back to Bill with another Thank You .
Lovin this Micro 335 , Excalibur stepped up to the plate for me , That's about all a fella can ask for .
Micro 335 , best I ever had !
