Broke down and got an Exocet

Post by Paco »

I did it I finally got some money together and got my brand new Exocet. I have been saving for the past 3 months and I am extremely excited to own one.

I got it from Carra Outdoors in Burlington and the owner there spent almost 2 hours with me explaining everything and let me shoot it there for about 1/2 an hour until I got real comfortable with it. If it wasn't for his help I don't think I would have bought one, but am I glad I did get it.

I can't believe how powerful they are and I have some property where I got permission from and can't wait to go ans scout out where I will put my deer stand up.

I know this may sound silly but I am new to bow hunting. Can anyone with experience tell me if it is easy to load the Exocet while you are up in the tree stand or should it be cocked before going up in the tree stand and then place the arrow in it.

Thanks all,
Paco

Congrats on your new xbow, you'll be pleased. Cock your bow before you get in your stand and haul it up with a rope. You can cock the bow while in your stand, make sure your harness is on and use as rope cocking aid to cock your bow, it will be much easier. 8) :D
Make sure the safety is on and unloaded.
