Well, I knew better... but...

Post by Xring »

I shot my Exomax at a two year old archery cube that stopped the bolts (arrows have always been difficult to pull out) and I couldn't get my bolts out until I went to Bass Pro and bought an arrow puller, the rubber kind that squeezes the shaft. Well, while I was there they had a Red Head layered styro target for field/ broadheads, will stop any arrow, for sale for $34.99 and I bought it. I got it home pulled the bolts out of the old target and shot the new Red Head and the first shot knocked the target over and was propped up by the fieldpoint from the backside. I knew what that meant, the bolt went through the target all the way up to the bolt butt and I had to pull the bolt out the back ripping off one of my fletching, shot it again same thing happen. Well, I got what I paid for, will probably be fine for my vertical but wimped out against the Exomax. Will keep looking....

Excalibur does have a styrafoam target that works very well. Mine is four years old and still works fine. Getting a little soft in spots but have never ruined a bolt yet.

A decent target is the Yellow Hammer mini Slammer cost is about $50 Can. Bolts come out with 2 fingers and stops bolts from my Paradox.
