you should have justremoved the pads, it's a lot easier! You tighten the main screws as tight as they will go, but the two on the recoil plates are just tightened evenly till they just touch the plates, then you go only about 1 turn more on each screw.

Send a PM to Digger, Wabi, GaryL, or any of the other lifers in here...

From what I've observed, they have a great deal of intimate knowledge of these bows and can answer your question right away.

It's nice to see BillT posting on here!

When the manufacturer steps in and offers advice, that's someone to listen to!

Hmmmm. Did Bill Ruger do that? Weatherby? (OK, they died before we got to use the internet like we do today, but it's not very likely they would have done it.)

Are the recoil plates the metal piece that goes across the top of the dissapator bar with the rubber piece underneath it?
It is then fasten through the riser with 2 screws?

recoil plates = the two DP Bars fastened with the two main bolts that hold your limbs to the riser.

rubber piece underneath = are the DP pads, one per side....two small screws/allen screws fasten them too the DP Bars. See Bill T post above to fasten proper.... :D

GaryL,
I'm not talking about the dissipator bars but the other thin metal piece that goes across the dissapator bar that squeezes the little black square shim against the limb.

How tight do the screws have to be?
