Question on Half Moon Nocks

Just wondering if anyone here has filed or grinded half moon nocks down to being flat in order to shoot out of their Excaliburs?

Can it be done and be reccomended?

Also, how can you pull these suckers off? I'm having a tough time.

I wouldn't recommend it, but I've heard of people doing it that way (grinding)

You're better off taking the moon nocks out and replacing them with inserts.

If they are in aluminum bolts apply a bit of heat to the shaft and pull them out with a pair of pliers. If they are in a carbon bolt put 'em in some hot water for a minute or so and pull them out with the pliers.
