Uploading from Cuddeback to PC???

Post by LoneWolf »

Is anyone familiar with this cam?....

This is my first time trying to upload pics from this cam and I'm lost!... How do we transfer/upload the pics straight from these cams onto the computer...? :?

I have a USB cable and I don't think I need a card reader to get the pics onto the pc???... I've checked the booklet from front to back and I don't see anything in there that tells you how to do this... I've figured out how to see the pics from a television, but the uploading business is different story...... :?

No problem with the Moultries for uploading the pics...

Thanks

I'm not familiar with the cam, but every digital I've ever used has pretty much the same procedure.
1)Plug USB into cam and computer with the computer on.
2)Turn the camera ON.
3)If you have Windows XP, it should detect the camera with a noise and a symbol at the bottom right of the screen.
4)It shoud ask you where you want the pics uploaded.

Hopefully this helps.

All of the above, if you did not get software to load for the cam, you will have to do as chessy stated after you have the usb cable hooked to your cam and computer, turn on cam and look for new device or extenarl hard drive.... :D

That sounds good to me, I was just going to ask if you recieved a disk with anysoftware with the camera...?
I would think with a digital camera, you should have gotten a software package with it ... .......

I have Olympus 4000 & 765 and HP 739 digital cameras and run XP pro. I just conect the usb cable and turn on the camera. Depending on the model camera you have you may have to press the OK button on the camera to start thing.
Make a folder in my pictures in Documents first to send your pics to.

I have a cuddeback. It takes great pictures and has tons of options even video options. Its bothersome to take the camera off the tree and back home with you to view the pics unless u have a lap top with a card reader or a portable t.v. So what I would suggest is buying a couple of flash memory cards (thats what the cuddeback uses) that way you can take one home with the pictures on it and leave one in the camera. Then what you need is a card reader for you pc. There very cheap and you can buy a usb one. Once you have that, stick the memory card in the card reader and u can get your pictures. Heres a link or just do a google search.

Now if you have a digital camera other than the cuddeback, u can just put the memory card in the camera and hook it up to your pc. Otherwise use a usb cable, open up explorer (click on my computer icon), It should be there listed as a separte drive, and just click on it.

Nudo, I have a Sony hand held digital camera but the memory card is not the same. I can do what you mentionned from the Moultrie trail cam to the Kodak handheld and I can also view the photos from the Moultrie on the Kodak because it takes the same cards.

Well my computer skills suck so I'll get the wife to try and figure this thing out. It took me long enough to figure out how to post pics!..lol... When it comes to computers I'm dumber than a bag of rocks...

Just one more question... How much does a Flash Card Reader go for?

Thanks alot guys!...

LW,

You can usually pick up card reader for about $30 at Future Shop. What model Cuddeback is it or do they just make one digital model?

Yeah, well good luck with it. The card reader for the pc works very well and is easy to use. Post some pics when you get a chance. Later.

Can I transfer the pics I have saved in the cam's memory onto the flash-card somehow?

P.S. Please excuse my ignorance, my knowledge in this department sux...

Yeah I think once you put the flash card in, it will send the pics from the camera memory automatically to the flash card.
