Targets

Post by TYE »

What target would you guys recommend that will take a beating from Fieldpoints? I shoot my Pheonix ALOT, but I only pratice with Fieldpoints. A couple sessions with broadheads every once in a while but not much.

My "BLACK HOLE" block target is just about dead. I'm gonna be looking for a new target soon and I want someone that will last very long and take a beating from my constant shooting. Mostly a field tip target. My BLACK HOLE i have had since about April I think.

A Yellow hammer Mini Slammer is a good target. Mine has lasted about 2 1/2 year and you can pull your bolts out with 2 fingers.

How far do the bolts go into the target? How big is it? (Dimensions) and where did you get yours?

How much it cost?

I got a Morrel's Yellow Jacket target bag. They're specifically made for fieldpoints. I bought it from the Archer's Nook and they've had the same one for 3 years and its still got some left in it...

The Mini slammer is 24 x 24 x18. My Exocet 175 wou go in about 10 to 12 inches at 20 yds.

I got mine at the Excalibur open house in 2003 but most archery shops have them for about $50 Can. We got about 7 or 8 targets that day.

Hmm maybe I'll have to look into that one then. Much cheaper than the block targets :)

I bought the target block 4 years ago,and only shoot broadheads at it.I just started putting the odd arrow in it up to the fletching.I also let a few of my friends use it too sight in there bows before the season starts.I just seen the target down at bass pro shop for 75$.It,s probably the best target out on the market for the money.Considering that i shoot the exo-mag on it and only shoot broadheads at its worth the money.

When I have the money for one of those Morrel Outdoor range targets, I will definately invest in one... but they're expensive aren't they?

That's $85 American though....

$100 Canadian... Maybe I'll ask for one for my birthday or Christmas or something.
