Well I decided to try a fixed blade broadhead as I have been using Mechanicals with my Exomag.
I bought some Muzzy 100gr
I could not get any consistancy from these.
I used a solid bench at 20 and 30 yards.
My groups were between 5 and 8 inches.
With the rocket Mechanicals and the cheap Eastman outfitter mechanicals I couldnt shoot at the same spot they were so accurate.
Are you supposed to tune fixed baldes and how so?
I do have to say these Muzzy's are bullet proof and just stand up to one hell of a beating.
This of course means nothing if you can't hit where you want to!
Any suggestions?

I had the same question when I could not find any replacement blades for my Wasp Boss SST 100gr heads. Everywhere I had called or looked told me that they were on backorder and some said they could only get the broadheads and not the blades separate. I asked my Exo dealer here about some Muzzy's. He told me that when arrow speeds start rising above 275fps that the bolts start to dance. I asked about the G-5's and he said the were excelent with all of the ExoBows that he has sold. He sets them up and sights them in before you walk out. I suspect I will be looking for some G-5's that I have passed on in the past and the local stores. Good luck in what ever you choose.

Camper I had the same question when I could not find replacement broad head blades. Here is what I found out when it came to muzzy's. Some on here shoot muzzy's. I have an ExoMag as well and I will be going to get some G-5's when I need some new heads. They have just come out with some practice heads that are the same as the hunting head. Just not as sharp. Good luck and I hope you find some broadheads that work well with your ExoMag.

If you keep a child in the woods and off the streets, I won,t have to deal with them when they grow up.
Ditto. BJ recommended the Slick Tricks to me and they do fly just like field points!!!speedball wrote:Camper, i highly recommend to try the slick trick's they fly like darts and are hardcore when impacting bone, not to mention the hole they make, i've tried 7 different kinds including the wasps and setttled on the slick trick 100 grain 1", speedball

Well I am using muzzy 100 grain 4 blade heads. Just got out my exomag, put it together and strung it up after putting it away last season. 30 yards offhand first shot right into the ten ring on my 3-D bear target. I set up with them last season and found my grouping to be fine although not the same point of impact as field points. I am using carbon shafts from Walmart. Maybe try different shafts.

Camper do a search under FOC and get some good snacks and read, read and read. The easy way is change broad head or field tip weight. 100 to 125, you could also change your inserts to a lighter or heavier weight.
Go to Easton arrows and they also have a info/ picture showing how to measure your FOC....
Here is a start fer ya....

Fellas,
FOC is important but even more important is the shaft being straight. In the majority(SP?) of cases that i have seen when bolts/arrows won't fly when broadheads are installed it is because the back 1/3 of the shaft is bent.Likley causes are attemting to pull the shaft out of stubborn 3-d target or tentest target.
The second most likely is the broadhead to shaft lineup.Broadheads have to spin 100% true or they will not fly worn a crap.Put and broadhead on the shaft (with practice blades if possible-in case the broadhead is really crooked and jumps off your finger),put the tip on your left index finger and give it a spin. You will feel the b-head/shaft wobble if it is not lined up correctly. It is easier(and safer) if you have an arrow straightner).
If you find a b-head shaft that isn't perfect, just head the shaft slightlty and give the b-head a twist.Spin again.Continue to to this until the b-head and shaft spins 100%.
It makes no difference at all if the blades don't line up with your fletching so don't concren yourself with that. Good luck, and if you don't have an arrow straightner you can send them to me and i would be more than happy to check them for you.
