DesertRat,
You are quite talented. Do you have a closeup of the buck on the skyline looking camo?

I think that is truely awesome.

The finish is the same one that is used on rifle stocks and what not. there is a hard clear that isnt shinny sprayed on to seal the ink. Acually there are several different patterns that are available. The one in the photos isnt a complete match on the color fusion but its darn close. Its hard to see much difference in a photo , but there is some.
After looking around for a source of less exspensive straight grain walnut and ash , i think i can produce the stocks for the same cost with the camo as the laminate. i do need to try a couple more to make sure the quality stays the same. BJ saw this one while i was bear hunting and he ordered three more stocks like this.

Ink? So the finish is a sticker (sort of) that is overcoated with a protective layer? Is it similar to the decals used on cars?

oil/water dip, ink floats on top and part is submerged through the ink, the ink adhears to the surface, very durable overcoat of clear, not a sticker.

Beauty looking stocks and paint work DR!

Quick question Mark!
I heard from bj about the new finish on your stocks!
I was wondering if your friend would do shotgun stocks and if the finish would adhere to metal?
I was also wondering if the finish would adhere to a plain jane Vixen stock, or are you limited to wood!
They are a beautifull looking stock!
Enjoy the Harvest!

Buckshot , its my understanding that this camo can be applied to anything that will fit in the dip tanks. Im not sure about how the shipping of firearms. How those parts would be handled or what cost would be involved. Ive really only checked on the bare wood product , nothing metal as yet. I will find out for you though.

Thanks Mark
I always forget about the firearms thing and the border!
It would still be neat to know more about the process and the possibilities!

What is the actual technical name of the process!
Enjoy the Harvest!
