alternatives to an atv

Post by MC »

Is there any other off road transportation other than ATV. other than walking of course, dirt bikes, electic bikes, that would be useful and more compact than an atv in getting the hunter deeper in the woods?

thanks

You can pretty much go anywhere with an ATV. Run over tree's and stuff. :)

Don't know why you wouldn't think about an ATV.

The problem with dirt bikes, electric bikes is balance. If you carry a lot of gear say to a hunt camp or you are transporting a deer you would have some problems. i.e. front wheel flipping up backwards or your foot getting caught under a wheel.

Mountain Bike

Post by exohuntr »

I ride a mountain bike on some of the forrest roads that are off limits to vehicles here in AL. It is very quiet, easier than walking, and I built some racks for holding my gear. However, it is 0 help once you have a good one on the ground. A buddy of mine is working on a trailer set up for his bike using a wheelbarrel as a pull behind. I will see how his works and then try my own. Hope this helps...

I think a pogo stick would be really fun, specially going down a steep hill.

The pogo can probably be attached to the end of the crossbow stir up... :)

this brings up a good poing .... where i hunt , area 54 for moose and deer there is no quads bikes or cars trucks allowed for hunting exept for game retreval only strickly enforced

i tell you one thing it is the best hunting in the world no trucks up and down roads no quads all over the place it is the most enjoyable hunt i am glad that there is no trucks allowed in the park .

next time out in the woods enjoy the quiet then wait for the cars and trucks to pass and then you will know what im talking about
