Red Dot Scope Problem

Post by thomkm »

I recently purchased a Titan 10 pt with a 3 dot scope. My son sighted it in and was driving tacks at 20 yds and 30 yds. When I fire it I'm consistantly 3 in high and 3 in right?????

I've had Red Dot Scopes on handguns, rifles and MLers and have never experience this.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

The same thing CAN happen with a rifle, or any firearm for that matter.

It can depend on the way you pull the trigger, or the way you look down the scope, or whether or not you cant the weapon to one side or the other, and a host of other variables. You and your son aren't likely to do things EXACTLY the same way.

The real issue is whether or not you get a good group. If the bow shoots consistently for each of you but to a different point of impact, that's terrific. Consistency for you when YOU shoot is the important thing. Just make whatever sight adjustments are needed for any particular shooter when that shooter uses the bow.

Thanks for the great input.

My groupings are excellent. We are going to go out tomorrow and tinker with it.

Thanks again...
