firearm renewal certificate

I just received my new firearms permit in the mail today. I noticed at the bottom of the page that my renewal license was stuck to, a note saying that I must detach the bottom section of the page and keep it with my plastic license and produce both pieces if requested by a piece officer.
I'm not sure what this all means, but perhaps someone on the forum has got clarification on the subject already.

P.S. Do we have to carry our firearms certificate with us when we are hunting with a firearm??

Yes you do have to carry your firearms cert. when you are carrying a firearm. Hence, why they want you to carry the coupon in the meantime. You should also carry the registration of the firearm (you are carrying) or transporting.
