Am I seeing things or is that bow cocked with a bolt on the rail? Lets be safe out there. Nice buck by the way. Congrats!

Nice buck. Congrats. I always have the bolt out unless I'm sitting in stand or whatever. As soon as I get up the bolt comes out.

Congrats on the buck. YIKES on the loaded/cocked bow!! I made a mistake several years ago with my first buck. The morning after while taking pics etc, I laid down my rifle and opened the action. Low and behold there was still a round in the chamber!!!

Mistakes do happen but let this be a reminder to you and everyone else how close you were to possibly killing someone, including yourself!! That's how I felt after finding the gun still loaded.

The first thing I saw in the post was the nice buck. The second was the loaded crossbow. YIKES! I'm with TYE on this one. The only time I have a bolt loaded is when I'm in my stand or I'm going to take a shot.

I did forget the bolt, safety is on and it is not pointed directly at me, but I did realize my mistake only after pics were taken . . . I am taking note and this will not happen again, not worth an accident.. I had a bolt loaded up when I came up on it since I was unsure of shot placement and it took a while for it to expire.
