Ranger tags one

Post by ranger66 »

It was a nice morning to hunt the food plot, got in there about 30 min. before legal shooting and at about 7:15 on a small deer shows up and then I noticed another one and I was focused on them, when I looked again there was nice doe she had me pinned in my stand and I thought she was gonna bust me but I didnt have a shot at her yet, then another deer shows up and doe began to feed and walk into my shooting lane at 20 yards and I let one fly and I watched her and the others bolt out of the plot and I thought what I had heard was her crash in the woods. I waited about 20 min. or so and my buddy shows up and he finds my arrow covered in blood on closer inspection looks like I hit her a little far back and it had some gut material on the fletch so we waited some more and tried to track blood but there was no blood trail so we did a search of the area where I thought she had crashed and my buddy finds her. She only went about 40-50yrds max. Looks like I took out the liver.
