Verry happy bunny!!

Post by grizzled47 »

Well guys, it was my exams tonight for the Canadian firearms safety course, and the Hunters course. As you probably know, you have to pass these to be able to aquire and own a firearm, and to get a hunters licence. It has been an interesting Two weeks, and I'm proud to say that this Englishman passed both... with flying colours!! Top of the class of 19 in fact, with a score of 98% and 96% respectively!!! And to think I was all on edge and worried this morning, and my wife Mary had to put up with my temper!! :) I love her to bits!!
Now I'm all relaxed, and celebrating with a nice cabernet Sauvignon!!
I will apply for a hunting licence next year, and buy a good firearm. I think I'll do the "Bow- hunters" course next! I would like to get some deer and a bear with the bow eventually. These exam passes, and licences don't make me a hunter...I have now got to learn the trade!!
But just now...I'm a happy bunny!!

Congratulations.

By all means take the archery course. I'm not familiar with the one in New Brunswick, but if it's any good it will advance your understanding of archery hunting.

You will also get a lot of good solid information here too. Don't hesitate to ask questions. The only bad question is the one for which there is a ready answer, had it only been posed.

For firearms related discussion consider going to the canadiangunutz forum. Sometimes it's a bit of a free-for-all atmosphere there, but a lot of good information can be gleaned there as well as sources of gun deals.

Congratulations!!!!!
I would think the bowhunter course would be well worth the time. Bowhunting is much more interesting than gun hunting for me, as you have to really learn about the critters you hunt to consistantly outsmart them.

Way to go! Most of these types of exams are mostly common sense. As long as you are competent and pay attention, you usually do just fine. Congratulations, now get out an enjoy every aspect of the hunt.
