Exomax issues?

Post by Harry Crabtree »

Guys, is it true that the newest Excalibur bow, Exomax 225 is having some some structural issues? Are any of you out there having or have had mechanical/structural problems with your Exomax? Just want to make sure before I sink my money in one. Thx

Hi Harry,

I own a store and have sold many Exomax and have had absolutely no problems with them whatsoever. I also own an Exomax and do not have any troubles at all with them. I do recall having to change a set of limbs on one Exomax and that was becasue the customer dry fired his bow.

Don't be afraid your investment will be worth it.

Best regards,
Sam

The only damage is from dry fires, you can get away from damage with other Excals but dry firing an Emax usually does bend dissapater bars and may cause other mishaps. Emax is also hard on strings because of high poundage.

Shucks.

Just a thought, but do you think it would be wise to have a spare set of limbs at home? Just incase...

If you want buy a set of carved limbs to use as replacements. They cost less than $50 they work and you may lose 10 fps. That should be in your price range.

Hello Harry Crabtree : I am not aware of or have not heard of any problems with the Exomax ? I and several friends own them ....

Maybe the occational complaint from a hunter re: how far the arrow is pounded into the ground once is passes thru a deer !

I have a exomax, and the only problem I had with the exomax was the string slip off the bow on my first shootings. But it was my mistake, cause I have set wrong brace heigh. Since I set the right brace heigh, this bow shoots so consistently that I can hit a 2'' section of the target at 50 or 60 yards.

It's trully a nice bow. Trully nice. The power of it amazings all the people of my family that shoots it.

Hey everyone, Im knew here but I really really want to buy a exomax! I want to know if one will last for several years if not my whole life. I own a crossbow 50 years old and my papa made it from car parts and gun parts. I also have a maddog which has 180lb and 220 fps. I want the fastest crossbow but I also want a deal. I don't want it to brake my 2nd time hunting with it. I need details of the crossbow please. :o

PS. its common sense not to dryshot a crossbow. I can imagine what would happen if I dry shot my papas crossbow sense its got a metal cable anda metal bow, phh :?

Where can I get a cheaper exomax, one thats about $500? I also don't know anything about the extra parts like the thingy that makes it shoot quieter or if the scope is worth it.

Tasslehoff only way to get a cheaper one is if some one was willing to take a loss on their xbow(cost) however their are some used ones fer sell, just keep your eyes open and check e-bay.... :D

DB bars and pads not a have too, but I would defiantly want a Varizone scope on a ExoMax.... :D
