rechargable batteries...again!!

Post by grizzled47 »

Hi Guys,
I'm still having trouble getting a rechargable battery for my trail cam. it would appear that nobody will mail them because of the make up of such batteries!? I have tried Bass-pro, and Le baron etc, but they all say the same thing! They all have them, but won't ship/mail them! I'm stuck with a charger, and nothing to charge!
Could any of you come up with an answer?? My camera went away for a replacement, and is due back, and I will need a battery. I have a none-rechargable, but really want to get on to the re-chargables.

Try alarm companies. You know the ones that instal. 12 & 6 volt batteries are used in their systems. Farm supply companies sould also have them for the electric fences (some are 6 volt, not 12).

Your local home hardware should also carry them.

Hope this helps ya.

grizzled47 I can order ya one and take it down and try to ship it to ya. If they won't let me then I can use it for a back up. 6 Volt rechargeable lantern battery correct :?:

Will take about 14 days as I would have to order it and take about 3-4 days to get here, then repack and ship to you another 5-7 days.

Let me know.... :D

Canadian tire has 6 volt motorcyle type batteries:

Would that work?

Walmart may have some too of this type.

Try a Gel rechargeable.
Sonnenschein is the manufacturer

Active Components in Ottawa should have no issue shipping as these batteries are approved for transport by air as non-hazardous goods.

motorcyle type batteries are too large to fit in the case., However I am using one with one of my cams with the wires running up to the cam and is working fine. The problem is more to carry.... :D
