Home fer now!
Home fer now!
Double nickles Woody (55).
Took the day off to do anything I feel like doing, and started by moving my ladder stand to where this little guy has been hanging out.
Plan to go back in this afternoon and clear shooting lanes, then perch in the tree until dark with the new Phoenix to keep me company. Told my wife to fix up a couple packs of that tough old tenderloin (fom the doe I shot last week) and let it simmer in mushroom gravy until I get home. Sure is nice to have a wife that understands the priorities of a hunter
Thanks for all the birthday wishes, but don't expect me to post pics of me standing over a nice buck with my Phoenix tonight. If one comes in - sure!, but just being out there in the peace & quiet with Creator sharing the joys of the hunt with me is enough of a present. Anything else is just like the mushroom gravy with the tenderloins - not really necessary, but sure nice!!!!!!
BTW - the wife did come through with my new polarfleece longjohns for my present. Now I can spend even more time in the stand on these cold evenings! Wonder if she thought that through????? Hmmmmm........
