favorite scope for hunting & is "righ stuff" w

Post by mikew »

Hi,
Another newbie set of questions here...

What's everyone's favorite scope for their crossbow?

Also, is the Righ Stuff package with scope (~$275) a good thing, or should I piece things together?

One data point for the latter question - I'd be getting a crankaroo assist, so the string cocker would likely go unused.

Thanks in advance,
-Mike

mikew, I have a crankeroo for my Excal and I also have a rope cocking aid, it comes in handy now for uncocking your bow (see video).
I have a Varizone on all my Excals.
You will use almost all the pieces in the right stuff package, its worth buying it.

The Varizone scope is definitely the way to go. Whether you should buy it as part of the "Right Stuff" package depends on whether or not you already have some of the items included in the package, i.e. like broadheads, quiver, etc. If you don't, and will be buying all the items separately, then you will definitely save by buying them as a package.

Doesn't hurt to have a spare rope cocker....Just in case.

Again, Thanks!

I'm leaning more any more towards the Excal Exocet...this forum has played a part so far too.

Seems that the Exocet w/ all the trimmings is a faster, lighter bow than the TenPoint Titan I'm also considering. Nevermind the fact that I think it's less expensive (now and in the long run)....:)

Now to the "finance committee" for a P.O.

Cheers,
-Mike
