Maybe a Jersey cow inside the hide. The shot was either a quartering toward the shooter or the shooter was low and slow as the wound seems to be quite far back. If it was not a quartering toward shot, it would have been a heck of a tracking job with that shot placement.

i have seen alot of dead deer before but this is the biggest i have saw... 2 questions tho . 1 i have never seen a deer with his eyes closed and 2 and why is the pic so blurry .... i smell photo shop

I think maybe it is photo shop. I thought the bow looked very big. It looked big in the same percentage the deer looked big.

looks real to me ..... although few and far between , they are out there ...
type in 500 lb Minnesota buck and do a search .... lots of stories written about that buck ...

I read a few years back that the largest deer wieght wise ever taken in Ontario was 458lbs live wieght. Taken with a rifle in Renfrew county. IO believe it was in either Ontario Out of Doors or Canada Out of Doors.
