Travelling With Your Excalibur

Post by jniszczak »

I just purchased my first Phoenix last week and it is AWESOME! One of my concerns was travelling with it as I am heading to Texas in March. For anyone interested, this bow fits in my hardshell vertical bow case in two pieces with open sights, arrows and quiver. The case is not SKB but along those lines. Good luck in the field!

It will probably fit. I use a double gun case for mine, as it is easier to handle.

Do you unstring the limbs when travelling? In the instruction manual it mentions doing so if the bow is going to be in hot climate. I do not expect that to be the case in Texas come March. Great suggestion!

I don't usually unstring the xbow if its a short drive (under 3 or 4 hrs). I will unstring the bow if its a long trip in really hot weather as it only takes 5 min. to put it together and restring.
