Fletching Jig

Post by PRB »

What make and models do you suggest for carbon bolts ?
Id like to get the Bitzenburger Dial-O-Fletching Jig but the dang things are pretty pricey.
I do care about doing a good job but dont intend on doing a lot of fletching.

I have a Bitz and an Arizona E-Z Fletcher, now only use the Bitz to repair single fletches. the Arizona does a super job and you can fletch bolts in a few minutes.

Take a look at the Jo-Jan mono fletch. I have been using one for a number of years now, and a lot less costly than the bitz.

Thanks for the different jig suggestions. I'll keep them in mind.
Even though I'll change my mind 20 times

I have two old hoyt helical jigs, that fletch 3 feathers at one time, does a nice job. I have a brand new arizona e-z fletch, that has been in the package for the last 6-7 years, a 6 arrow jo-jan multi fletcher, and a single right wing helical bitzenburger. out of all of them, I'd say the bitzenburger does the best job, and is quality through out. If time is not an issue, that's what I would buy, if I only needed one jig. The hoyt's do a nice job also, and in 20 minutes, a complete arrow is done. The jo-jan, is nice if you want to do more than one arrow, and also works well. I'm in the process of arranging things, and having a sale. I have some tools and things from my hand bows, that I'll never use again, and am sorting through them. It may take some time, but I'm going to ask some of the folks here first if they are interested. Butcher
