Has anyone used a Game Tracker with a crossbow? If so, what were the results?
I've used them successfully with compounds and I'm wondering if they are compatible with crossbows.
If you're unfamiliar with the Game Tracker, it's a spool of dental floss type line, 17lb test that you attach to your bow. The end of the line attaches behind the broadhead on your arrow and when you release it, it goes with the arrow to the target. If the target happens to be a deer, etc. and runs away, 2500 ft of line follow it, making tracking easier at night.
It's pretty effective at 20 yds, but beyond 25, it seems to affect arrow flight. (my experience)

I have used them several times-lost one deer when it crashed down a ravine and a flash flood warning kept me out (law enforcement directive)
I put velcro on my vixen at the left side of the stock under the riser. works well. 32 yards is my max shot with one. its useful where I hunt because of a couple creeks retard blood trails and the deer often run down a shallow creek when they get zapped

Thought it should work. I'll have to try it out this spring when I can shoot in my yard.
I didn't use it all the time when I hunted with my crossbow but both deer I did use it on, I was able to find real easy. One was a neck shot (Back in the days when I was very confident of my shooting availability. it only made it about 25 yards.
