Good luck with a xbow, getting a lynx. We've got them on our land, and have never seen them. Predator call may bring them in, just before dark, or first thing in the morning. Let us know if you get one.

Bulldog.

There are several references in the Regs. The best thing to do is go to the MNR website. Click on the Regs and do a search on "furbearing".

Picture an animal with big paws, longish legs and long hair that weighs about 30 pounds. They look bigger because of all the hair.

They are not hard to kill.

They might tree if you could use a dog to pursue them. If the snow is deep, however, their big paws will probably allow them to stay on top and you and your dog won't be able to keep up.

You are right, you cannot hunt them n Ontario. But you can trap them. Lynx and bobcat territory overlap in Ontario so depending where you live you may have one or the other or both in your area.

Wildcats are very secretive, and exceedingly well camoflaged so seeing one would, for most, be a once in a lifetime sighting. I've yet to see one but have seen tracks.

As far as comparing them to a dog, the ones I have seen(zoo, shows), think of a boxer, a little shorter, a nice furry coat, and big paws.
