I understand that the Auditor General has another report forthcoming that deals with the Registry.

If it's critical, as it hope and expect it to be, it will expose horrendous financial mismanagement. (How CAN it be possible for $2,000,000,000.00 to be spent in an honest fashion, when the handgun registry that operated for 60+ years, cost peanuts.)

It would be an effective way to humiliate the Liberal party if another judicial inquiry looked at the Firearms Registry. Judge Gomery isn't busy any more, is he?

If there has been corruption in the way that money was spent on the Registry, and that would seem to be a fair assumption, exposing that would make it awfully hard for any political party to try to keep it in place. It would also make it a hot potato that no future Liberals would want to use to try to buy votes. The Premier of Ontario and the mayor of Toronto would have to change their tune on the firearms issue.

One thing I would really like to see exposed is how the Federal Government funded anti gun lobby groups so those groups could in turn go about publicly, expressing their support for what the government was doing.
"Gun Control Laws"--trying to nag criminals into submission.

I wonder what this mean's for Ontario. It seems the provincial government wants to band hand guns so I wonder if they will start their own registry for long guns if the Feds don't keep it up.
