Target Shooters

Post by Jim C »

The NAA and the NFAA along with TNC have adopted the WCSA rules for target xbows-the bolt must be between 12 and 18 inches and IT CANNOT EXCEED 21/64. gold tip lasers are thus not legal in NAA tournaments

for most xbow target archers-whose bows are designed for outdoor competition this doesn't matter because a 22-64 is not competitive outside but a point blanc indoors must go to a 2117 or (better-my best scores came with these) 2114 X7

Greywolf,
Read it again
The material isn't the disqualifying factor, the diameter is.
GoldTips are 22/64" diameter and 21/64" is the maximum allowed. Jim is using 21** series aluminum which is 21/64" diameter.

For years TNC-NAA tracked the rules as set forth by the IAU (internationale armbrust union) which only specified 12-18" bolts with no diameter specs. The newer Australian based WCSA is now what TNC -NAA is following and they do have a limit.

Hmmm-when a thread doesn't interest me I merely stop reading and go off to something else but that's just me :?
