That moose was posted on here a couple of times last fall. If I remember correctly, a regular from here was part of the hunt. I can't find the story about the hunt, but I did find another pic of the moose. Here is the link.

Absolutely, the Vixen is quite capable of downing a moose if it's hit in the vitals, and even out to 30 yards I might add with the right bolt/broadhead combination.
It doesn't matter what Excalibur model you shoot it with, you still have to hit the animal in the vitals to bring him down for good. The only thing the higher draw weight models do for you is that they will give you that bit of extra stretch/punch if you should ever need it. Personally, I like to have that bit of extra stretch/punch when I'm moose hunting.
