Help On Regulations

I've been looking at the crossbow regulations for Ontario and have found two conflicting reports.

One says that Crossbows are permitted for use during the archery season.

The other says that Crossbows are illegal in Ontario.

Could any of you help me out on this?

Crossbow are concidered archery equipment in Ontario and if you can hunt with a vert bow you can hunt with a crossbow. Period.

What regulations do you read?

I have the 2005 Ontario Regs, right in front of me and Can't see it.
Crossbows have been used here since I cant remember!

Don't have the regs in front of me but the only illegal crossbows and vert
bows for hunting are ones of a certain minimum draw weight and arrow length. Pistol crossbows are strictly illegal period.

hi , i think u must of misread the words. crossbow are totaly legal in Ont. happy hunting.
