Finish wear

Post by Jim22 »

Not a big deal but was wondering if it is normal for the finish to wear on the side of the rail? I guess it's from using the rope cocker. I am shooting a Phoenix. Am I putting the hooks to tight to the side of the rail when I use the rope cocker? Like I said not a big deal but was wondering if I am doing something wrong here. Thanks for any info.

I don't think the hooks for the cocking-aid can be anything but tight against the rail.
You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.

Agree, To get a perfect aligment they need to be tight to the rail :!:
