Great experience today. 1st time shooting new Phoenix

Post by Wags »

Today after 2 weeks of other projects I set up my new Phoenix. What a fantastic and enjoyable experience. I had never fired a crossbow until this afternoon. Out to 40yds this wonderful and accurate tool was making me shake my head with it's ease of use and accuracy. Am I this good of a shot I was asking myself.

I also had purchased the scoped right stuff package. Just too easy of a set up after watching the video and watching everything fall into place. We'll see how it all goes come hunting season. The way I'm shooting now this early in the game I'll be needing another freezer in the basement!

Congrats on your bow and how your shooting. About your NEW FREEZER,  alot of people have thought that way. Trouble is bow hunting is still bow hunting no matter if your hunting with a crossbow or a vertical bow. You still need to get the animals close enough in range (30-35 yards) to be effective with the crossbow.

Good Luck and enjoy.

glad you like it.. i had to shoot my friends exocet200 for him since he couldnt hit anything with it LMAO. We started at 30 from a rest and it was dead on! 40 yards for fun and it was about 1.5inches off which was damn good to me. We tried 50 for fun and grouped bolts about 2-3inches from the center! I was amazed at the range, but normally bowhunting my farthest shot is 20 yards.. normally 8-12yards 8) :D
