Hey there,
for those who live in southern ontario, does anyone know of any rifle ranges that allow the public to use its facilities without a membership, so instead of paying the usual 200-400$ membership fee a person can pay a lump sum to use the range for a day? Or a archery range closer to the GTA then the wolfs den that allows non memeber to use its facilities?
thanks!

There was one in Pickering. Not sure if it is still there. It was many moons ago that I went.

Chris I think that the one you are talking about was just off of Taunton Rd, well the 407 is now were it was.
I think that the Oshawa Skeet Club will allow non members at certain times but I am not sure. I am just going on hearsay.
Good luck.

There's an archery (indoor and outdoor) range out that way that I checked out in the spring. Nice guy and membership for the year was only $50!

This is true, it is not a real sophisitated venu but, we used to go up there and pay the day rate, it was a well run range with covered benches and up to 200 yard shooting positions.
No one bothered us, we took a lunch and lots of ammo and made a day of it.
Unless this has changed in the last year or so, it is a good place to sight in or practice at.

Not trying to put the place down, just got a good laugh out of the photos. I'm sure that's what they were going for.
I like the idea of a day rate if you just want to sight in your rifle before the hunt or bust a few clays to dust of your gon.

But when your out there, if your hearing protection isn't real good, I can say from experience, you do hear the dueling banjos
