Gad I saw on TV where Brazil had changed to ethanol which they made from sugar cane, converted their cars and was independant from third world oil. Is everything as rosy as they say.

At this point, I believe that even far-left liberals are ready to stick it to the oil barons. I live in a "blue" state (more moderate than liberal), and the amount of cursing that I hear at the pumps is amazing. I heard one guy scream, “Next, you’ll want my first born!” That was after a stream of expletives left his mouth.

I've been working the night shift and when I saw around 80cents a litre last night I thought I was still asleep - DREAMING. I think they are just setting us up for the $1.40/litre next week  .

The price of gas here in New Bern, North Carolina dropped 3 times today and is at $2.52 a gallon. When I get home, I'll top off my hunting truck. ( Only used during hunting season.)
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

Amazing how a spammer will dig up a seven year old post to get a reply in.

On a side note I filled up this morning at $3.19/Gal and felt like I was getting a bargain. We've been gouged for so long now we've become hardened to being cheated.

Currently here in Toronto we're paying between $1.24-$1.30 per litre, that's $4.75-4.98 per US gallon (3.83 litres). I remember when back in the 1960's it was 32 cents a Cdn. Imperial gallon. (4.54 litres) that's a 15,562% increase.

Figured we may as well date our selve's ? even being a 7 year old thread? 1987 when I started driving remember filling my @$#^ box car for 38.9 -39.5 per litre, Yesterday figured I got a deal at $1.21.9 a litre to fill my truck ... Nothing a $112 didn't solve !

Old thread but still a soar subject. The pumps at most gas stations here stop at $75.00 and that is usually not enough to fill up my truck. I remember my dad getting pissed because it cost $5 to fill up the family station wagon. And for those who thought that a mandated 10% ethanol mix would be a good idea, put it in your boat and see what happens. Now I pay extra to get the ethanol free gas at the marina. It could always be worse though!! :)

2006. Wow. I won't read the first 3 pages.....

It is always a fun day when I bring my suburban for a fill-up (30 gallon tank), and I am carrying my additional 50 gallons of gas caddies for the boat. Even if the gas pump credit card reader accepts my credit card for the "second" $75 or $100 after the shutoff, it almost always makes me "see the attendant" for the third time.....

Yes, we actually had a few stations down to a "rock bottom" price of 2.88/gal and I was shocked. Around here a price like that usually means the station has been out of business a long time.

On another note that ethanol additive has been rotting my fuel lines in everything it touches. I now have to put in an additive just to keep things running they way they used to. How can this possibly be helping things out?
