Thanks Footed Shaft

Post by diesel »

I've been sending turkey wings to Footed Shaft. He just sent me back some feathers to fletch on my Bolts. I think he did a great job on these feathers. The fletching was was was easy. These bolts all weigh 400gr. with a 125gr. broadhead and have 16 % FOC.
Take a look at them and let him know what you think. :D :D

They look great. I am very interested in keeping some turkey feathers this fall and spring to make fletching out of. Have you shot them yet? How do they fly?

No I have not shot any yet. My Exocet sinks the bolt to far into my target. I don't want to mess up the feathers. I will take them to my brothers this weekend. His target is much better than mine. :D

Very nice. I use the plasic vanes with helical fletching insead. I just like the idea of them not getting wrecked as easily and not fraying. I have heard good things about real feathers, but I am going to stick to whats working. They look really good though. PETER
