Talk is Cheap!

Post by marmot »

Excalibur's full page "Talk is Cheap!" advertisement on the back of the 2006-2007 Guide to Hunting and Trapping in Maryland is priceless. I can just see the faces of the members of the Maryland Bowhunting Nazis as they turn over the guide. I know that the ads from previous years had them up in arms, but the fact that Excalibur has pretty much locked-down the coveted back page has to have them regrouping for another assault on the Maryland Legislature.

I gave away my ScanJet, but I will see if I can get good shot with my digital camera.

The ad is not a stab at the Maryland Bowhunting Nazis. It is just a cool Excalibur ad. However, the mere presence of any crossbow ad in the guide since crossbows were legalized has resulted in the Nazis saying, "I told you that it was the manufacturers pushing the crossbow issue." I bet that Matthews would have sold a ton of bows without all of that advertising too!

That is a very cool AD!! It is because of the Compound Bow lobby that we can`t use Crossbows in archery season here in Pennsylvania unless you are Disabled. I am using mine in restricted areas where youa anyone can use them near Pittsburgh, but I would like to use them in 2A and 2F. Hopefully someday!! Jack.

My wife is originally from the Wilkes-Barre area. The deer up there are tiny compared to what I see here in Maryland. I am glad that the Pennsylvania Game Commission put antler restrictions on bucks because the hunters up there shot anything that moved. My brother-in-law hated the antler restriction at first, but he is much happier now that he is starting to see more mature bucks.

You'll need the T-shirt to go with it.
