New Member, New Exomax, and First Hog.

Post by Nature Coast »

Hi Guys,
My Name is Bert and I'm a new member to the forum.
I just want to say thanks for all the info; I've been reading these forums for a while and it's part of the reason I decided to buy my Exomax. Now that I have my xbow I can see it is truely one of the finest in the world. I've only had my xbow for about 3 weeks and since I have a lot of wild hogs on my property I decided to try it out on one of them. I took a shot at only about 15 yds. away, and hit the hog in the crease behind the left shoulder. The bolt did not go all the way through. The mechanical tip hit the thick plate on the opposite shoulder and stopped there. I was using SpitFire mechanical broadheads and they did plenty of damage to the heart and lungs. I had a good blood trail for about 30 to 40 feet and that is where he fell dead in his tracks. I am very pleased with my xbow, and am very happy to have my first wild hog. The hog was about 150# and had tusk about 1" long. I want to give special thanks to Bill at Excalibur for a fine xbow and for his attention to the minor glitches in which he addressed for me in the past couple of weeks.

PS, I will try to post a pic of the hog.

Thanks Again!
Bert
