Wasp Boss SST Report ... Entry Hole Pic!

Post by Grizzly Adam »

This deer was shot intentionally through both shoulders at a little more than ten yards from an elevated stand with a Wasp Boss SST 3-blade 100 grain broadhead on a Gold Tip Laser II fired from an Excalibur Exomax.

The bolt passed through almost three feet of soybean foliage before striking, and passed through the deer with terrific force. Both scapulas were pierced, as were ribs on both sides. As you can see, a large triangular shaped hole was cut on entry, and an equally large triangular hole was cut on exit. Both holes were clean and open. The blood trail was copious, and the deer ran only about 60 yards before crashing.

I find the Wasp Boss SST broadheads to be sturdy, accurate, and sharp out-of-the package. A good and efficient choice.

Wow, that is the entry hole!! That is amazing. I am shooting the same setup, except with an Exocet. Jack.

That is amazing. I had a spine shot last year where the aluminum bolt lodged and bent. The energy transfer knocked the deer right of its feet.

Congratulations!! Nice looking doe and it just goes to show you how deadly those Wasps can be. She was definately allergic to that one, ha. :D I'm sure you will be enjoying backstrap very soon.
