Slick Trick's - no go in Oklahoma

Post by Makomachine »

I was all hyped about trying out some slick trick's this season and just found out they aren't legal in Oklahoma.

Requirement:

Broadheads: Hunting type points not less than 7/8 inches wide and not less than 1 1/2 inches long.

Slick Trick length: 1 inch (100's and 125's)

Any other states have this type of regulation? OK needs to get out of the stoneage and update the regs...

(As a side note, there are LOTS of BH's at the local Bass Pro and Wal-Mart that aren't legal to use here - guessing this is just ignored by most hunters.)

Just read the regulations closer - doesn't appear to be a minimum length on BH's for crossbow bolts - just regular archery equipment. What's the difference??? Just goes to show how ignorant hunting regulations can be...

They are broadheads. They are made to fit arrows and bolts. There is no difference. I have never heard of a minimum length reg.
I hunt for memories, the meat's a bonus!
