New style quiver mount

Post by groundpounder »

I've been reading the forum for a while now and getting lots of great information. Liked all of the posts about the over the bow quiver mount but thought it blocked too much field of view. Being a tinkerer I think I've come up with a new design I haven't seen before. Tell me what you think. I've been using it so far this season and haven't had any trouble out of it so far. The only complaint may be threading the bolt through the brackets to load, but other than that clearance and field of view is great. Reading previous posts on how to post pictures I hope it works.

groundpounder the only thing I see is you left off the close tag. Really hard to tell. The mount looks great :D

On photo bucket the third box down under your photo, highlight it and copy, then paste in post, you will get it sooner or later.... :D

Now that's a mount I would buy. Great job.

With regards to posting pics, you had it close.

It should look like this:

Not a bad looking mount, I have a Dan Miller mount right now that goes over top of the limbs. There is your 3rd pic

I've seen the postings on the Dan Miller mount and liked it for carrying the xbow with the sling and not banging the quiver in your back like the factory mount would do. I just did not like that it blocked that much of your field of view. Played with the quiver a bit and came up with that position. The material of the mount is alluminum and I sand blasted it to match the factory finish of the excalibur. It looks a little bulky and could probably be made a little thinner but in the end it probably wouldn't be much lighter than it already is. Mounted it to the two thru holes that are already in the xbow. And yes< I did forgret to close at the end of the posting and have figured that out now. Thanks for the help.

Nice mount!

Just the other day while walking thru the woods , I was cursing the bolts as they fell out of my "stock" arrow rest.

When can I get one of those babies?
