I know what your talking about jh45gun, I saw that same show here on WILD T.V. In fact I saw it severals times that same week.
I've never tried it, but I did write it down, so then this fall when I shoot a buck, I'll keep the testicles.
The guy claims its better than the stuff you buy and last's a lot longer.
Problem is..... it won't be ready till next years hunting.

If you are a drinking man, drink the Vodka. There's no need to waste good ethanol that way. For a lot cheaper price, and the same effect, use some alcohol based gas line antifreeze. All that the ethanol does is act as a carrier for the scent. As it evaporates, it carries the scent. That's why perfume has a large alcohol content, although because perfume is used by humans, it contains only ethanol. You aren't going to be giving it to the deer to drink, so you won't poison the deer.
Isopropanol or methyl hydrate would work the same and cost much less.
"Cheers," with your vodka!!!

"Gun Control Laws"--trying to nag criminals into submission.
I grew up in Arizona, where I've known a good many Canadians as winter visitors. I think I was in my late twenties before I ment one that was below 70. My point in saying this is, if you know anyone that snowbirds it for the winter ask them to go to Mexico and pick you up a two liter bottle. They only cost a couple of dollars for vanilla across the border.bstout wrote:There are two different "doe in heat" brands that I like. If it's rut I'm using these. I toggle back and forth between them. This helps to keep the deer guessing.
If the rut is not engaged I use pure vanilla extract (not the imitation stuff) which is as expensive as store bought doe in heat. I've had very good luck using vanilla extract over the years. I've had deer come into my area and go straight to it many times. It gives me enough time to get a shot off.
I always place scent crosswind from me in order to create a diversion away from me.
