WMU 80 Shotgun buck

Post by TPM »

Got this 4 pointer Friday morning on a farm near Breslau. Used my wifes xbow hunting set up (ground blind, scent wicks and Renzo doe decoy). He came out of a tree line on the other side of the field but I managed to call him over with a grunt tube. He was cautious and kept staring at me not giving me a chance to get my shotgun up. He finally spotted the Renzo decoy and that was it. He lost all interest in me and started toward her. Gave me a 20 yard broadside shot. One 12 gauge slug through both lungs and he dropped on the spot. You can see the decoy in the second picture. He was 12 yards from her when I shot him.

Congratulations!!!!!!!
Been thinking of getting me one of those decoys. Guess we humans aren't the only ones who show interest in a good looking specimen of the opposite se&x!
(dang spam filter thinks se* is a bad word)
