Typical/non-typical, opinions please

Post by sunset »

Here's a couple views of the rack I took October 30.
Very roughly it scores about 142 gross. My neighbour told me about FROW and felt it may meet their requirements. Could anybody who knows please advise whether this is typical or non-typical.

From the pics looks like a nine pointer with one half larger than the other, but not enough irregularity to make it non-typical. Looks like a nice typical frame though.

Thanks so much guys for the opinions so far. I'll be taking the next step and getting it measured in the new year.

I don't think that's quite right. As far as I know, if you're scoring a Typical rack, then you get deducted for not being symmetrical but that doesn't mean it's not typical. Typicality (if that's a word!) is all about the way the tines come off the beam. When tines have tines coming off them, then you have non-typical points.
