Pictures as promised!

Post by Tigerpaw »

Pictures to go with this story. Do not worry, tags were applied right after pictures. The head only buck was being eaten by cyots by the time we got back in to get him out   Tomarrow I am going to sit over him and shoot some of the mangie dogs!!! The other guy (wt. 210lbs gutted) and is heading to the freezer!!

Sorry but edited because of jealous hunters that are trying to get me in trouble. Just so you know every thing on the hunts that took these deer was done legal but for the tags being applied 10 min. after they should have.

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't the tags supposed to be applied at the kill scene before the animal is transported?

LOL, that is almost as bad as the guy that posted a picture of himself with his buck at night and his crossbow laying next to him. You better hope the MNR doesn't read your post.

When I left the city and moved out here I said that I was so sick of the B.S. around hunting that I was going to quit buying deer tags and outdoor card ect. at all!!!!

After some reality checks I have stuck with the legal way of doing things.

I do not degrade a buck by putting tags on him before their pics, FINAL!

Jealousy is a terrible thing. These guys are a once or twice in a life time kind of thing and came with a lot of time and hard hunting. If and when you post pics of your deer I will say Congrats and leave it at that. Do not try and make your self feel better by throwing the MNR card! These guys were taken ethically, legally, and will be eaten with pleasure!!!

Can you send us all some maps of the area that these were taken?
Man,I have seen some nice ten and twelve point deer taken in Eastern Ontario, but these sure rank up there with the best!
Too bad about your loss to the yotes!

Tigerpaw congrats on one hell of an afternoon!! Great bucks!!

I think Desertrat was just trying to be helpful with his comments, versus them coming out of jealousy. I may have offered the same. In fact I have before.

There was young hunter who posted pictures of a "spruce grouse" and "fox squirrel" he had taken with a crossbow. The "spruce grouse" was a ruffed grouse and the "fox squirrel" was a red squirrel. The difference in grouse no biggie, although one should be able to identify the species they are after. The red squirrel can only be taken by means of trapping.

I suggested he be careful with what he posted and educate himself on the animals he is pursuing because it is not worth it to loose your licence, have your gear confiscated. Or have your deer confiscated.

Whether or not we like it there are laws we have to follow. You may not cheat and keep hunting with your tags, but someone else might.
You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.
