Hey Buckshot:

Any chance you may be putting more stress on those Vixen limbs than they were designed for?
I would hate to see them snap and hurt somebody (probably the operator).
What did the tech crew at Excalibur say or did you check?

Home made stock! (chainsaw carpentry)
Not really fancy compared to some, but I like the fit and it works well!

Hockeyfodder, the same limbs are used on the Vixen and the Exocet 200 which is good for roughly 310 fps. I am sure they are also used on other models as well! The Phoenix is basically a Vixen with an angled riser, same limbs, similar concept different design!
I've never had a problem nor a concern about increasing my draw length a little bit!

The ONLY difference, other than comestics, between ALL 2006 Excalibur models is the length of the rail/mainframe.
  • Vixen: - 13.5"
    Phoenix: - 14.5"
    Excocet: - 15.5"
    Exomax: - 16.5

Not sure if this counts or not but my wife makes soap. So far she has used Balsam Fir and Pine extract. 100% natural. I shower with it before I go hunting. Haven't been out enough to know if it works or not plus I play the wind anyway but can't see how it would hurt.

i've shot this setup off of a 2003 exomag...it basically made the mag just a bit faster than the exomax  and it's still going strong...

Here was a practically new canoe that I cut the back off of and made a flat back for(stressful making that first cut). Makes for scooting around with a trolling motor on our reservoir lakes much easier than paddling. Works out great and recieve comments everytime I have it out.

I also like doing lots of art work out of everything, I like metal. Here is a 12" tall elk head I made out of stainless steel. Very time consuming!

Yes it does Buckshot. I make things all the time, but most of the "neat" things that I make I give to friends or family. Makes it hard to post pictures when I don't have them anymore. I'm trying to still find pictures of my Jeep where I made bumpers that doubled as air tanks, light brackets, and baskets. I like this topic and will try and post more pics as I get them.

Duh :!: I might have started something here

A yep BUCKSHOT I do believe Santa heard me

Groundpounder I did that same trick about 8 years ago from a canoe 14+ feet long I salvaged from the river half buried. Had a big rip in the side about 2ft long and a number of dents from being washed down the river. I found the owner from a old license sticker still on the canoe he came and looked at it took a couple of pic's and then gave me the canoe.

I cut a few feet off and pop riveted a new flat end back on and it worked fine, however I still had a TIP OVER problem a couple time
