If anything new is slated for 2007, it will likely take place sometime in March. That's usually when changes to Excaliburs are introduced.

Not 100% sure, but I have good reason to expect:

A hard case (2-piece, to keep shipping costs down). Main reason for not having a hard case in the past is that the size would make shipping way too expensive.

A lighted scope.

An economy priced "Right Stuff" package with just the basics - fewer arrows, no extras.

Possibly a new stock design (thumbhole?), but as an new item, not a replacement for the standard.

Springtime release, like ComfyBear says...

A friend of mine has a Parker with the dry fire safety and what I Don't like about it is when your done hunting you have to fire the xbow. I like being able to let my excalibur down by hand. You might be able to bypass the dryfire mechanism to let it down but it would be a hasle.

The problem with the DRY FIRE SAFTEY is that it is a MECHANICAL DEVICE and mechanical devices can fail. People with this feature will start to depend on it without using COMMON SENSE SAFTEY (making sure you place the arrow on the rail). On top of that, it is just another option which can go wrong and cause problem.

I want my crossbow to belong in the KISS (keep it simple silly) class. I prefure that we teach ourselves and eachother to be safe with the bows without the need of mechanical devices. Saftey begins with us and not mechanical devices. Please keep the anti-dry fire off the bows.

They apparently have a new bow for 07, I forget the name but it was mentioned on Canada in the rough. Not likely to be better since its tough to improve on perfection.

I would too, but they would have to make it as a replacement part for existing x-bows for me to buy one. :!:
Once you own an excalibur you do not need to buy another if it is the exocett 200 or exomax.

They look cool but make it a pain to operate the safety.

I'd second that. Considoring one for my Pheonix. :D

I'd like to see a modified front sight that didn't leave the fiber optic piece so vulnerable. They break way too easily.

AMEN! I've had to replace my fibre optic piece several times this season and I thought I was being pretty careful with it!
