I'm not expecting much, since they hardly ever change.

I get the impression that Excal doesn't tweak their models annually just to stir up the market, but rather depends on word-of-mouth promotion and repeat customers to stay in business ... a practice I find highly impressive.

I despise the "innovations" that lots of manufacturers introduce year by year just so they have something "new" for the latest catalogs ... it's just like the auto industry ... same vehicle with a different grill, bumpers, and steering wheel pad!

Seems like Excal refuses to play, and I think that's good!

Now, as for meaningful advancements, bring 'em on. Can't wait to see how they're going to make their products better!

OK Guys, I hear you, you want a teaser about what'll be new in 07, right?
How about a new, thumbhole stock? We will have two new models based on the 200 and 225 pound frame available within a couple of months. They are shorter in length than the present models, very stable to hold and fit like a glove! Names are "Equinox" for the 225 version, and "Vortex" for the 200.
Also, how's about an illuminated Varizone scope? We are also bringing out a mount to hold your rangefinder above your scope wher you can have quick, one handed access to it to check range before shooting.
These are the big changes for 07, they'll be up on the site as soon as out IT guy has two minutes to rub together.
The new brochure is at the printer and will be available within a week or two..........Bill

Next question, will the thumbhole stock fit existing models?

I am going to assume so, considering he said that they are building it off of the 200 and the 225 platforms. However he did say that they are shorter. I know that the difference between the existing bows is just the ramp length, so maybe these new stocks wont fit. Not to sure but id say it would be a good idea for them to make it so they do fit.

I woud think so, the only thing the stock fits is the rail and nothing was mentioned about a new rail.
