Looks like they are realizing there is a market for a recurve crossbow. I doubt if it will match Excalibur for quality & accuracy, though.

Wildwindom what means "DITTO"? :D

Wabi, probably you have reason, but DP2 laminated multilayer limbs is a modern technology. We will see.

Did you notice the "string stumpers" though. Looks like what some of you came up with not long ago with the rubber stops for the string.

Unless they have improved their trigger/latch system it will probably have a poor trigger pull and the bottom release claws do nothing to promote accuracy. I've owned Horton compounds and they were not that great.

DITTO means:

Me too, I have the same opinion.
I think and feel the same as you do.

SOMETHING DOESN'T ADD UP :?

Did you notice that although the powerstroke is 1/4" longer on the Hortons, that the speed rating (350 & 330 fps) for the 225# and 200# respectively, are the same as Excalibur's Exomax & Exocet 200, when using the same weight (350grain) bolts?

However on the 175#, although the powerstroke is only 14", the speed (310fps) is the same as the Exocet 175#, which has a 15 1/2" powerstroke, and that rating is when using with a heavier (406 grain) bolt.

How is that possible? :?

Either their models use different parts/limbs or their claims/ratings are erroneous.

Very interesting question!
It could be possible only if the integer surface (below the traction curve) changes during the traction: so until nearby 14 inches Horton limbs store more energy, after Excalibur limbs surpass Horton, as I show on this drawing (not in proportion):

I would not call it a copy really.

I found a mistake in the arrow ballistic page, anyone else see it?

Heck of a nice brochure, but you can have horton xbow's, I will stick with the excal.

I think xbow manufacturer's are missing the boat on what hunter's really want. I think a short light xbow is what they should be going for. Heavy draw weight and short power stroke is the ticket in my opinion. Something like the paradox in a 200# draw would get my checkbook out.

I'm getting the same error. Could it be because I'm running IE7?
