Pictures of saxman's hunting camp

Post by saxman »

Hi all, havent been on much lately, feeling a little down.
Here are some pic's of my hunting club.

The old bus,it was bedroom and spam for a long time but there was an older cabin that I can remember as a boy
Image
The new spam with my dad having a light supper. I have fridays off so I meet him there on thursday afternoon for a hunt with just him and I and I love those times with him
Image
Inside the spam,a few small racks and a nice largemouth
Image
These antlers are touching
Image
A very nice buck for our area that resulted in a truck wreck. Crazy old farts
Image
This is my late uncle Burl with a beer can rose he made.
Image
This is my small cabin for when I bring a guest
Image
and this is mine and my dads cabin.
Image
The camp property itself covers about 10 acres. We have two stocked fishing ponds(Best catfish you ever ate) and the other members have travel trailers scattered about the property.
I love it there and if this sickness takes my life that is where I want to be.

Get Well Soon!, you have way to much to lose. Nice camp, you really have to appreciate what you've had but fight hard and have it some more.

Looks like a good camp, Sax ... nice to have a place to "get away" to. I used to get away here on the farm ... now that I live here, I need another get-away!

Still praying for and thinking of you.

Better times are coming! Keep the faith, friend.

Saxman, praying for your health my friend, I bet a visit to the camp is better than a whole lot of those medicines.

Nice looking camp. Those antlers remind me of my buddies camp, they have a plack on the wall with an engraving for the biggest buck taken each year. Two years ago no one shot a buck but Bob hit one on the highway with his truck so they have his name along with the number of points and weight of the buck. Some of the lads in that camp don't like that Bob got his name on the plack but everyone else laughs.

Now that's what I call a real nice camp, it more like a high grade cottage.

My dad & I spent alot of time hunting, even with his parkinsons I still took dad just to get him outta the house. Those memories are priceless.

I pray for your speedy recovery.
