Looks like you have more snow than we have in the city. However according to the weatherman souther Ontario is going to get clobbered with a bid storm starting later today.

Hope your contractors enjoy your loins. (Venison that is.)

Contractors! They're here, there, everywhere ... probably flying through the air! I've got a trim man, laminate man, heating and air men, plumbing men, electric men and who knows what other sort of man running around in my new house today.

Why must they all come at once? Is that some unwritten rule?

My solitude is lost.

I'd have to grill up a moose to feed this crew!

I've got a couple plumbers, with a big cube van in my driveway, a contractor and a guy painting. The gas fitter and electrician were last week. I'm suffering from renovation stress. Somehow one of the the freezers wasn't working, so they all had "take home" venison.

Seems like it's the time of year to get the honey do list done. At home my wife has been after me to get the bath up and downn remodled so The good Lord decided to flood the upstairs bath and now we are in the middle of getting them both done at once.

I love BBQing in the winter. I can't go all winter without some venison steaks and to pan fry them is a sin  .

You ever notice how a 5 minute job turns into a renovation?

I did one last year. I was looking at my girlfriends front deck and noticed two 2x4's that needed replaced.

No problem. There's a couple of 2x4's in the garage. I knocked the 2x4's off had a look and rebuilt the whole thing.

Five minutes equals a weekend.

What's this? An 11th Commandment?

"Thou shalt not pan-fry thy venison steaks; for that is an offense in the sight of the Lord thy God. Breaketh out the grill."

That's wierd. I must have missed that ... and I thought I was up to snuff on that stuff.

Man I hear of guys breading their stakes and fring them and all I can do is think; you had to kill it again. LOL
Give me some virgen olive oil and BBQ sauce mix it up and apply as nessary, and eat hot off the grill. Taisty

Ya those 5 minute honey do list always seem to end up taking a number of hours to get them done right. Only problem is turkey season and then trout season and were back in deer season. LOL , O well she said she will higher someone to do them. and I rolled my eyes , No Problem he'll be cheaper than me anyways.

Man, ya'll don't know to what epic proportions a "honey-do" list can grow until your honey says one day, "Honey, let's build a new house."
Imagine that it's a stick built, custom house and you're the general contractor. Now imagine living 70 miles from Lowes and Home Depot.

I ain't kidding ... it seems like we started building this house 20 years ago ... but it was just last November!

I honestly did not know what I was in for, but it's been a learning experience!

Grizz, you have me cracking up, I been a contractor on mega homes here in DC and it's work. But 70 miles from the nearest Lowes that got to suck.

Just think when your done she will be ready to move to Fla.

MOVE?

You gotta be kidding! You couldn't blow me off this farm with a nuclear bomb. I liked it before ... but after building this house, the idea of going through any house-choosing process again makes my head feel like it's in a vise. I'd rather stay here in a teepee than go anywhere else to live in anything else if something happens to the "Great Hall of Cypress."

Never again, brother. Not if I have anything to do with it, anyhow! :D
