Excel strings

Post by Beaver »

What are the Excel strings made of? I am thinking of setting up a jig to make them when I get my new shop set up later this summer.
I never was as good as I used to be.

Thanks GaryL

I was just wanting to know what they were made of, dacron, fast flight, or whatever. Just to look, they look like dacron, but that sure is a very few strands for a dacron string.

I like the Excel string because its small diameter puts less pressure on the center serving and has less non centered pull on the limbs and limb mounting system causing a little less stress.
